People often wonder what love is. The reality is, it is difficult to narrow it down to a singular definition. It can be thought of as the space in which you feel calm, welcomed, and centered. Today we are exploring self-love. Consider: Have you ever thought about what it is like to love yourself? In honor of the month of love, here are a few few self-love strategies:

Be Mindful of What You Feel, Think, and Want.

Live your life in ways that truly reflect this. For example, if you wish to feel love, try giving love. Think about what it is like to love yourself- What do you do on a daily basis that puts a smile on your face? These are the moments we need to harness that love as fuel to take on the day confidently. Self-love is a balance that is found through self-acceptance.

Take time for calm

Take a timeout every day to calm your mind. Set a reminder in your phone if you have to. This is so important for improving clarity and achieving peace of mind. It allows you time to re-center and press on.

Be patient but persistent

Self-love is ever evolving. As you get older, things change, interests change, and health changes. Therefore, self-love progresses and evolves with you. It takes practice and is something that should become a part of your daily routine. So be kind to yourself and indulge in a habit of self-love daily.

This is what makes you special. What makes you unlike anyone else out there. There is only one you in this world. Love yourself through all of your flaws, through all of your hardships, they have all made you the strong and resilient individual you are today.
